It is so hard to believe that Christmas is only 6 days away. It seems so unreal. I do believe that my presents are all bought with only 1 left to wrap. Yippee! This weekend brings us to Friday night being the only time at home this weekend. Saturday we will have Christmas celebration with the Afdahl's side. It will be a little different this year since Ruthie is in a new house and it is more a pot luck style meal. Sunday brings us to my parents house with Chad, Melissa, and the kids and Luke, Landon and I. I am actually really looking forward to this since we will be ordering pizza and appetizers. Totally out of the ordinary meal. Love it!! Sunday night is cousin's night out. Okay so it is first annual and it might be a flop but we are going to try to round the majority of us up and go and see how it goes. I know that Emily and Bridget are looking forward to it. :) Monday is the annual Hurtgen Christmas Eve at my Grandpa's and then Sunday is out the Kathy and Joel's. That is where all the presents seem to come in. Kathy loves to shop and does such a good job; but she sure did make Christmas shopping for my own son a little difficult. Everything I wanted to buy him, she bought it instead since I was shopping with her on Black Friday.
So, we will be busy and we will see how Landon deals with it. He has been having some meltdowns lately. Yesterday morning I was ready to leave him at home. I stood in the hallway and screamed out loud because I couldn't deal with him. He is definitely opinionated and shows it one hundred percent. I guess that is what being two is all about.
I hope everyone has a safe Holiday. Enjoy your families.

Snow, Snow and More Snow
I can't believe how much snow we have gotten in only four days. It seems so crazy. I don't even remember the last time we have had this much snow in the of December. Seems like we have always wanted a snow fall so we could have a white Christmas. I do have to say though, that I do like it. It has made everything so pretty. I do not like driving in it, but that is just a minor detail, right? Landon on the other hand absolutely loves it. He wants his boots and snow pants on so he can go out and help shovel. It is quite comical. Luke has been putting in a lot of hours snow plowing, and yet still working his full time job. I think he is enjoying still since it is the first couple of plows, but I am sure that it will get old in a hurry if the snow keeps coming every couple of days. We are all doing well. We are ready for Christmas. Just a few little items to pick up yet before the holiday. Shouldn't be a problem.

Thanksgiving
It is so hard to believe that another year has come and gone. I do have to say that this Thanksgiving was a great one. Nothing exciting happened and it was very low key. We went a whole mile and a half down the road to Luke's Aunt Virginia's. Her little tiny house crammed with 44 people in it, but it was very nice. We were able to watch to the Packers and enjoy the food. It is so much easier with a 2 year old now. I didn't feel that I had to watch every step he took, and he was able to feed himself. He did endulge in a few too many pickels and picked green beans, but he was having a good old time. It amazes me each year when the cousins are around and how they change. It is crazy to think that was me once upon a time. Very good time.
Luke's Mom and I headed out for Black Friday at 5 a.m. It was so much fun. I must say I do usually have a good time considering it was only my second year ever going. Kathy is a pro at shopping so that makes things easier. We were at Wal-mart at 5:15 and then we headed over to Menard's that opened at 6. It was extremely crazy in there. Then we headed off to Herberger's in Stillwater and then to Maplewood. We met up with Luke's sister there and she went to Albertville Outlet mall at Midnight and had not been to bed. She is one crazy girl. She said she did find some super deals. I need to go shopping there on my own time when the weather is nicer so I don't freeze outside. All in All I got most of the shopping done. I didn't buy too much for Landon after I saw what Grandma had in her cart for him. Goodness, he is going to have a great christmas. Next year might be a different story and I won't be able to cheat on the presents, he is going to start figuring that stuff out soon. :( I am ready for Christmas.

HALLOWEEN
Happy Halloween Everyone! Luke and I along with Chad and Melissa hosted our First Annual Halloween party at the Woodville Legion this past Saturday night. Man, what an experience that was. We were the Flintstone's. Chad and Melissa, were Betty and Barney Rubble and Luke and I were Fred and Wilma. It was a pretty darn good time. We had about 75 people attend. We had a DJ that was fantastic. I think next year we will know what to expect and not go over board with the food situation, but I do believe everyone had a great time. There was a couple that came in pretty early that we had no idea who they were for about 45 minutes. Chad and I eventually figured it out. It was pretty crazy. There was a group of 5 that came in later, and we didn't know who they were right away either. Chad did figure it out. I haven't dressed up for Halloween in years, so this was pretty fun. I do know that I do not look good in Orange hair. I do think Melissa looked Fantastic with her black hair. Come, on Melissa I think you should dye it!! So, Happy Halloween to everyone and hope it was fun for everyone.
Landon will be dressing up on Wednesday as a Brewer Player. Simple, but that is what he loves. So we created our own costume this year. Maybe next year I will dress up with him and trick or treat with him.

Pleasant Valley Tree Farm
On Sunday we went with Nathan & Amber, Carson and Gage Lee to the Pleasant Valley Tree Farm outside of Menomonie. It was a good day despite the dreary weather. It was our first time their. Nathan and Amber were nice enough to invite us along.
When we arrived they were preparing the pumpkin launcher. Holy Cow the boys were impressed with that. We went on a spooky trail through the woods, Landon and Dad were able to fish out of a boat (okay, really no water and with magnets on the end), look at the goats at the petting zoo, stand by a pumpkin to see how tall everyone was, go into a jumping castle and crawl on straw bales with tunnels in them. Landon's experience in the jumping castle was a good one. He did very well, until his his worry wort Mom made him get out when the big kids invaded the castle. We ended our day with a hay ride out through the christmas trees. You were able to mark your tree if you wanted to and come back and get it before christmas. It is a great place to start a tradition. Too bad we have an artifical christmas tree.

Baseball Weekend
Now that the week is half over with, I am getting a chance to update my blog. We received an early Christmas present from Mom and Dad, which allowed us to have two nights at the Sheraton in Milwaukee and a Brewer's game. It was AWESOME. Our seats at the game could have not been any better. We were in row 23. It was great. Landon couldn't not have been any better at the game. He was so cute in his Brewer outfit dancing to the music and eating his hot dogs. His admiration for Cousin Joe only grew stronger through the weekend. Where ever Joe went, Landon wanted to go. Joe was a great cousin and sat next to Landon and watched him as he climbed up the wall and kept his attention. Thanks for that Joe.
Our ride to Milwaukee started out late and Landon didn't do the best. He had a horrible hack and could not get comfortable, but we managed to make it. Joe rode down with us and watched movies. We arrived at the hotel Friday night about Midnight and Landon thought the hotel was so fun. We had adjoining rooms with Chad and Melissa and so the door way was very cool. Mom and Dad joined us Saturday morning. We checked out the Brookfield Mall where we each got something Brewer from the store. Otherwise we hung low at the hotel. Landon was going to go the Milwaukee Zoo, but with him not feeling well and not getting a ton of sleep, we decided to skip the zoo. Maybe we will be back next year.
So, Thanks again Mom and Dad for another great Christmas Present. It was a ton of fun and I can't wait to go back to Miller Park. (I never really enjoyed baseball until Landon had to watch it every night, then we started watching the Brewers, and we are hooked :)
Here are some pictures of Landon and the Park.

New Transitions
We have come to so many transitions this past week that I don't know if I like the change. It is all good change, but man, Landon is just growing up. We went and picked up Landon's "Big Boy" bed and all the new sheets. Of course we had to get him sports bedding. It has baseballs, basketballs, and footballs all over it. Landon didn't seem so excited, but we are trying to make it as big of a deal as we can. He wanted this pillow that looks like a baseball glove with ball in it; so we got it for him thinking that if he can only have that on his bed, he will stay in there. So, last night we got everything all washed and set up. Landon was not thrilled about being in his room in his bed. He wanted to go to Mommy's bed. So, I laid down with him, and believe it or not he did fall asleep. Not all night though. He made it for about 2 1/2 hours and then he was in our bed. He woke up yelling and Luke just brough him to bed with me and Luke went to the living room. So tonight we try again. The mattress isn't the greatest. It is extremely soft, but it is going to have to work for now.
The next thing, is the potty chair. Yes, he really did go in there once. I couldn't believe it. I am not sure if he is even ready, but he is always telling us he went potty, so we thought we would start. Daycare is going to start trying harder too. We will see how it goes. That is going to be a bigger chore than I want to deal with though. The potty chair sings and Landon things it is the greatest thing ever. Not so much!! We will see how the next week or so goes. It will be nice to be over this hurdle, but it is just getting to the point to jump that is going to be rocky.

Happy 2nd Birthday Landon!
We had Landon's second birthday party on Sunday. Oh, where does 2 years go? He enjoyed himself dearly. He is totally in love with Baseball, so we had a baseball cake. He was not so sure what to think when everyone started singing happy birthday to him. He got a little grin on his face and stood there. Joe had to help him blow out his candles since all Landon would say is "Hot".
We had Grandparents, Great-Grandparents, and Aunts and Uncles and cousins there. It was a beautiful day to be in the back yard. Landon did receive a lot of awesome gifts. He got a baseball/t ball set. He loves the Fisher Price baseball set. Surprisingly he hits them very well. He also received a bucket of plastic wiffle golf balls. He has a plastic golf club that he thought was just a blast. Watch out Tiger Woods, you might have some competition in a few years. Okay, probably not, but it is sure fun watching him hit. He hits some of them better than his Mom and Dad. Landon also received a battery operated John Deere Tractor. He was in love helping Dad put it together and just not so sure he understands the driving aspect to it yet. Just give it time and he will be all over the place.
We are taking Landon to Milwaukee to watch a Brewer game at the end of September so Chad and Melissa got him a fitted Brewers hat along with a Fielder T-shirt. It is awesome. Landon has not went a day without wearing the hat. All he says is "my New Hat". He is going to fit right in at Miller Park. :)
All in all it was a good day. Mom is glad the party is over and sad to say that her little baby is now 2 on Thursday. Landon has made the conversion to the 2 year old room at daycare and everything. They are starting to potty training already. It is crazy how fast time goes. But, now diapers will be a real treat.

Relaxing & Beautiful
We spent our weekend at the Lake with Kathy & Joel. Landon had a blast. He was able to be outdoors playing the majority of the day on Saturday. He was totally engrossed with the lawnmower. He saw Luke mowing and then he decided that he needed to mow.
Looking at the pictures I just can't believe how big he has gotten. The things he says is just funny. The new word of the weekend was "Heavy" with a little accent. Helping Grandpa pick up sticks, and they were all 'Heavy'. Just too cute.
Landon also experienced the sprinkler for the first time. He was not too sure what to think of it at first since the water was soo cold, but then Grandma showed him how much fun it could be and he loved it. He also wasn't so impressed that Mom made him wear Amaya's pink water shoes. Oh, the things you can do to your child when they are little and don't know the difference. Yes, they are pretty in pink. I guess we can call it black mail pictures for graduation. HE HE.

Very Frustrated!!!!!
Is there a day that you just wonder why you put yourself in the situation you have? Why do men and woman have to be so different in thinking and in understanding. I have to say this past weekend has been one of the most frustrating weekends I have had in a long time. And it always resorts back to men drinking. I know that Melissa and I are on the same page, but I just have to let some of that frustration out! There is absolutely no consideration for the men to appreicate their spouses or take them into consideration when they are out on a good night out. Then they lie to you and say they told you stuff when they really didn't. Like using the ATM to take out more money than they went with and end up spending $100 for ONE person to drink. Seriously. Is there a problem there? But I am always wrong when it comes to situations like this, so I guess I am just to deal with it. AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh

Injury.
Not much has really happened this week, so not much to write about. Luke had a little accident last Sunday and we spent an hour in the ER. He was using a utility knife and sliced open his had near his thumb. Yes, 6 stitches. It is pretty nasty. He goes back to the clinic on Tuesday to get the stitches removed. Landon can't get over that "Daddy has an ow wee". The only good that has come out of this is that he has been home from work super early and supper has been made and ready to eat when I get home. It has been soooooooooooooo nice. Dishes are done before 6:30 and there is still a lot of the evening left for us to enjoy. It has been fabulous. I am not so sure how long it is going to last though.
Nothing too, new and exciting on our end. This weekend is pretty low key. Melissa and I are finally going to meet to and scrapbook a little on Saturday night! I am really looking forward to it. It has been so long since I have done anything to my book. I have to work hard to get my creative juices flowing so I don't look like a beginner. I do get to use my new tool though. I am pretty excited about that. :)

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
You guessed it, that is Landon's favorite words going down his new slide. Luke and I broke down and bought Landon a swingset. He LOVES it!! His swing works so much better on the swingset versus the clothes line. He now has a play house with a little picnic table underneath. Luke isn't so sure that he is going to attach the monkey bars right now since Landon won't be able to use them anyways. The slide is his favorite part. He scoots his butt across the playhouse floor until he gets to the slide and sits on the top until someone tells him to go and then he goes flying down and belly flops on the ground. His first round he got a goose egg on his head with scratches. He is 100% boy!! I think it was a good investment for him. Now when his cousins come over they will have something to do as well. Especially Kelsie. She always wanted to use the neighbors swings, but now she will not have too. :)
Summer is almost over. This weekend is the County Fair and then it is August. I am starting to plan Landon's Birthday Party. It is sad. We haven't gone anywhere. I hope to get Landon to the Zoo at least before it is snowing. So, we will go see all the animals at the fair this weekend and hopefully Landon will not be frightened by Joe's steers that he is showing/auctioning off. I am sure it will be interesting.

Tim McGraw & Faith Hill
I forgot to show off some of the good pictures that I got from the concert last week. It was a blast. I can't get over how yummy Tim is and I the fact that Tim and Faith are very in love. It was a great concert. Enjoy the pictures. We were sitting in Row 16 so I wasn't super close but that camera lense is way cool.
Warm
Well, the weather is finally here!! It feels like summer. Between the warm sun and the busy weekends, and the urge to not want to work. It is here!! We are loving it. Our weekends have consisted of only one wedding this summer, but graduations, cabins, and town functions. Landon is loving his sandals (the ones that do not leave blisters on his heels), sunglasses, hat and ice cream. That is all the kid wants to eat is ice cream sandwiches. It is crazy!! I have a couple of photos of him eating ice cream. Typical 2 year old.
We are heading to the doctor tomorrow in the morning with Landon in hopes to get to the bottom of his horrible sleeping pattern. He is so restless and just pulls at his hair. Something is making him very uncomfortable and not sleeping is getting to the best of us. Hopefully we can get some answers or get referred to a sleeping specialist or something. This isn't the first go round for us trying to get to the bottom of this, but I think I am going to push a little harder for more answers. I begin to wonder sometimes if I am doing something wrong. But, he just doesn't even sleep when he is bed with us. So, then I know that there is something bugging him. Between him wanting bottles in the night and sleeping very restlessly; I have to believe that there is something going on. I haven't known any child to have this horrible of sleeping patterns. It makes me very concerned and I stress about it. Hopefully it will end very soon.

Weekend
I just can't believe how time is flying this year. It is already the second weekend in June. Where does time go? I guess that means a 2 year old keeps you extremely busy and you don't have time to think.
This weekend brings me to the Tim McGraw and Faith Hill Concert. It is the concert that I always go with Erin and Michelle. It will be a good time. Always is. I had to miss last years concert since I was in Key West. As long as we "get down on the farm" we will be all good. This year, my Mom, Melissa, and Jodi are joining us. Very excited about it. Erin, Michelle and I have seen Tim quite a few times, but we wouldn't miss the show for anything.
Saturday we have the one and only graduation party we were invited to this year. I was asked to help get stuff ready, but haven't heard anything more, so I am not too sure if I am needed or not.
I hope everyone has a great weekend, and hopefully the weather will be nice. I could use some sun to cover up my white skin. :) Enjoy

Syttende Mai
Well, Well, Well........ I do know I am not 21 anymore. This past weekend was the kick off of the town functions. It was Syttende Mai. Oh My!! It is always a good time, but this year it was an extra good time for me. It all started on Thursday night when we took Landon down the carnival for some rides since Luke and I would not be able to take him on Friday night. Boy oh Boy did he love the rides, the foot long, the mini doughnuts and the rides!! The think that I have now come to realize why my parents thought the carnival was a joke!! They are expensive and a rip off!!!!! You can blow 20 bucks and not even know it or have anything to show for it. Rides are not only 1 ticket by 2 or 3!!!! CRAZY!
Friday night Luke and I took Mom and Dad's car and went on the Mystery Car Cruise. It was fun, but I have to say that I had a few beers with my brother before hand and I didn't eat a lot so that is where the fun started!! Chad and Melissa were nice enough to take Landon for a few hours, which basically turned into the whole evening/night. It was fun. However, I ended up locking the keys to by Dad's Super bee in the trunk of the car. (And he has no spare set). It was all for another beer!!!!! I was sick to my stomach! So needless to say 2 hours later Dad had the back seat of the car removed and I had to wedge myself in the trunk of the car to get the keys. I will say that I have a bruise the size of a baseball, but I was able to reach the keys. We can sort of chuckle about it now, but it was not funny at the time.
So, today is Monday and I am still trying to recover from my outings 2 nights in a row. I am just not prepared for that anymore. I am fighting a cold now due to the 40 degree difference in temperature and Saturday and the Lack of sleep that I have gotten.
I guess you only live once and make the best of it.

Vocabulary
It just amazes that in the last week how much of a vocabulary that Landon has gotten. Last night when I got home, Landon kept rubbing my elbow and saying something that I couldn't quite figure out. I thought he enjoyed rubbing my dry scaly skin on my elbows. To find out he was really saying Elbow. He is learning more body parts at daycare and Elbow was one of the things the were taught yesterday. It is so freaking cute. Now he sticks his elbow out in the air and says "Elbow, Mommy, Elbow". It is adorable. I love it. So, they are working on the eye brows, and eye lashes now. It will be interesting to see what he has to say tonight on the way home. I will be sure to figure it out sooner than I did with the elbow thing.
We are just loving the weather we have had the last couple of days. Landon is able to enjoy the parachute rs along with the annoying plane above our house in the evenings. His sandbox is a hit and so is the car that Chad and Melissa passed along to him. The fresh air is definitely helping him sleep better at night. I just wish now that his 2 year old molars would come in and then he shouldn't have the need to chew on everything.
We celebrated Amaya's 2nd birthday over the weekend. It is so hard to comprehend that it was 2 years ago already that Jen and I were pregnant. Where in the world does the time go? And what will we be saying when they start Kindergarten. Crazy!

BEAUTIFUL!!
Words do not even begin to describe how beautiful it was outside last night. I was able to get out and swing my golf clubs for the first time this year. It was WONDERFUL!! I decided to join the ladies golf league again this year only with a different partner and it is going to be wonderful. Abbey and I golfed last night and it just really makes a world of a difference when you have great company and a great golfer.
I am not so sure what she was worried about, she is a very good golfer. That girl has more strength than I can ever imagine. She hits with her 9 iron when I am using my 4 iron. What does that tell ya? Yep, you guessed I am a weakling. But, I still love it.

What a weekend
Luke had a great weekend with the end of his Dart League. It was Regional weekend at the Coachman. He did very well. Playing and drinking. However, he did come out of the weekend better than I thought. He was there all day Friday from 8 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. and then again on Saturday for 16 hours - 8 a.m. until bar close 2:30 a.m. Then again on Sunday from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. but that was for the finals. He brought home a lovely tall, purple trophy. He took 4th. It was a lot of games of 301 but he is now done until next fall. :)
I went to a baby shower on Saturday in Elmwood. Man that is a hall to get too. It was for Emily Koehler and Carter. I had Landon with me and he was the center of attention. He was so busy, I could hardly stand it. The girls sure thought he was funny and cute, but for some reason I wasn't so thrilled. I guess that is a typical boy for ya. However, he had a run in with Rat poison behind the couch. (Yes, that is right, behind the couch) I called the clinic immediately after to see what the side affects could be and I had to talk to poison control. Fortunately, I do not think that Landon ate any of the pellets. Thank God! It was a little freaky. One of many scary events I am sure.
Now this weekend I head off to a Bridal shower for my cousin's finance that I do not know at all. I believe I saw her once last year a graduation. I am going since my Aunt, Mom and Sister-in-law are going. It will make for a good ride there and back and maybe for a drink on the way back.
The weather is finally nice enough to get outside so I am hoping that I can get some pictures uploaded onto my blog so you can see my little spitfire.
Have a great week

Stuff
Well the bathroom is finally completed other than the door knob on the linen closet. It is WONDERFUL! Now I have to clean it already. Gotta love that job. But, at least when I clean it this time, it will actually feel clean. It is a job well done. What is next in the house? Nothing for awhile. We got the 2 most expensive rooms in the house done. Next will be trying to give our basement a finished look. Not anytime soon though.
It is has been a long week. I am so sick of the weather I could just scream. We are all hacking at our house and dealing with sinus issues and runny noses. Landon just wants to get out and play outside, however, the weather is not listening. He is 100% boy and wants to be outside with the trucks and throwing a ball.
Hopefully everyone had a great Easter and enjoyed the sun. I am hoping that I can get my computer to work and get some updated pictures for you all to see.
Have a great Thursday and a wonderful weekend. I am off to another baby shower on Saturday. Then possibly out for the evening with the girls. That might not be a good thing. We will see.
Tootles.

Is it done yet?
Well, we begun the wonderful project of remodeling our bathroom. Things have gone well up to this point. It should be done by the weekend, or it BETTER be done by the weekend. Luke has been working very hard on it and now has to go back to work tomorrow. So, hopefully I can get it painted tonight and the tile will be done in a couple of days. I just don't feel like I have a reason to do anything. We are camping out at my parents house and it just doesn't feel like home. I feel as though I am invading their space and vice versa. I think Mom enjoys the company to a certain extent in the evenings during the week but harder having Landon running around there. I am just thankful that we were able to camp out there for the time being.
That was our weekend, Luke and Charles working on the dry wall and Landon and I bringing them food. Oh yea, we took Landon to get his Easter Pictures taken with bunnies and ducks and chicks. Oh my, it was hilarious watching him chase those things around. I wasn't overly excited about the way the pictures turned out themselves, but it was a fun adventure for Landon. Sunday Landon got to hang out with is cousins and uncle Chad. Man, he was in his glory having Joe by his side to wrestle around with and having Kelsie to dance around with. He played so hard and loved every minute of it. However, Chad is trying to teach him things that an uncle just has to do. I think it is funny. I guess that is the start of the revenge of being the youngest and payback for what I did to their kids. It is all in good fun.

Being 21 again
What a weekend. It a started with having a snow day on Friday. Landon did not have daycare. I was a little, okay really frustrated, with Luke plowing snow and did not want to be at home. So, Robin decided that she needed some adult conversation and me having four wheel drive I decided that I would go visit her. She had a bottle of wine that she was dying to try. Okay, I have to be honest, I have not ever liked wine, but I decided I would choke a glass down with her. Oh my goodness, It was so good. I couldn't believe how fast I was able to drink it. However, my body got very warm, and I could tell I had a glass. I was feeling my alcohol. It was terrible. So, as the night progressed, we decided that Melissa and the kids needed to come over too, since Chad was being a butt head as well. Melissa joined us and it was us girls, until the men showed up. It was a fun spur of the moment evening.
Saturday I had a little headache when I woke up just to know that I was to go out with my High school girlfriends. I wasn't too excited, but I did end up having a great night out. We went out and closed the bars down at 2:30 and Luke and I had an after bar gathering at our house. Glad Grandma had Landon. The last person left at 4ish and I got to bed at 5:00, IN THE MORNING. I am Mom, I am suppose to be sleeping at those hours. Sunday was a very long day for me. I was not hung over, I was extremely tired, since I was at Grandma's house to pick up Landon before 10. Crazy. So needless to say that I was sleeping before 8 last night. I don't feel bad today, but I think tomorrow might be another story.
It did feel good to be a kid again. It felt good to go out and not have any worries. However, I think I am good and will not need to do that again anytime soon.

Winter Weekend
We didn't do much of anything this weekend. It was fun to see all the snow, if only it would not have been so windy. Saturday we were home bound for the entire day. Landon loved it, but I wasn't so excited. However, I was a little Betty Croker and baked all day. Cinnamon Rolls and Homemade Cake. Why, because now I am tempted to eat it. I have done well so far, but I might break down.
Sunday Luke was able to come home and plow the 9 foot drift away from the garage door so I could get out. Landon and I went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Afdahl. There is where Landon was able to enjoy his first sled ride. (Finally enough snow and warm enough weather). He absolutely loved it. You wouldn't believe how he loved to be whipped around. WHEEEEEE and giggles were all I heard. It was great!!
Hope everyone survived the snow and are prepared for what they say we are going to get on Wednesday.
Happy Monday.

Crazy things can happen
Well, the title just doesn't even begin to describe my morning. You just never know what the future may hold for you. Just imagine be all ready to walk out the door for work when you pick up your child and realize the rancid smell is him. Okay, so you go and change them and you are in for a HUGE surprise. I have never had to cut a t-shirt off of him, until this morning. It was nasty. I felt bad sending him to school because he needs a bath so bad, but what else could I do??? Poor guy. I hope his tummy feels better!!
Oh, and before I forget, don't play around if you call our house and the phone is answered "Pizza Hut, take out or delivery?" You just never know when the pizza hut guy will really show up on your door step, even when you did not order the pizza. Luke played a pretty funny on his sister last night. I still end up chuckling about it when I visualize a pizza delivery guy standing at your door and you didn't even order it. The joke didn't really work that way, but it was suppose too. I think pizza places are getting smarter now with prank phone calls and follow up with the actual person the pizza is being delivered to so they do not make a pizza and get stuck with it. However, I think Jenn would have eaten this one. Too funny!!
I am really trying to make the day pass since it is a long weekend for me. I am so ready to have Monday off. I am going to take Landon swimming and hopefully get all my scraping stuff in order and pictures printed/developed so I am ready to go in March.
That is about it with me today. Hope you have a great weekend!! Enjoy

I must be getting old.
Who ever says that they have no plans for a weekend? We had no plans and we were not home at all. It was crazy!! Friday night I went to the U of M to watch my cousin Liz swim in the Big 10 Championship for the Badgers. I can say that it was an experience. It was fun to watch once. I would not want to do it every weekend, but glad I went. I now understand how those swimmers are all in such good shape. Liz jumped into the pool to warm up and must have swam about 50 or more laps. That is just a warm up????????? I was exhausted just from that. Not only did she swim multiple laps but did not use her legs. It was all done by her arms. CRAZY!!! Just shows that I am really out of shape and would die if I had to do that. I would give the lifeguards something to do if I was to swim that much.
Saturday night Landon went to Grandpa and Grandmas and was able to spend the night with Cousin Amaya. I think the two of them had a really great time and played really considering Landon took a three hour nap yesterday. Wish I would have slept with him. Grandma and Grandpa just tell me how wonderful he slept and ate. Gosh, I guess at one year's old they know how they can push over Mom and Dad and not Grandpa and Grandma. We can not get Landon to sleep longer than about 2 hours in his "own" bed but he does when he is spending the night somewhere else. Kids, I tell ya. They get the best of ya, but yet, I wouldn't have it any other way.
Since Landon was away for the night we went out to eat and out for the night. I discovered that I am not young 21 year old anymore. I just can't do it. I was drinking water by midnight and we didn't get home until 3:20. I was exhausted all day on Sunday and Monday morning was pure HELL. I hate to say it, but I am getting old. O-well, that isn't all bad either. We had a good time and enjoyed ourselves. I guess it was worth it.

Cranky Weekend
The title explains everything. Man, I was crabby this weekend. I am not really sure why either. Saturday was terrible. You know it is bad when your husband tells you to go shopping and come back in a better mood. Ugh! So, I did, but I don' t know that I really came back in a better mood. This poor cart boy at Target in Stillwater. He just wasn't getting out of my way fast enough so I honked at him and gave him a dirty look. But, really, he could have moved the carts so I could drive threw. It was bad. I guess I am going to blame it on Luke and hormones. Not sure what else I could blame it on.
I am ready for spring/summer though. I think this weather could be an indicator of my attitude. First of all the plowing snow issue with Luke. Um, it is getting really old. It is just a good escape for him. I need a whole weekend to myself and maybe I would have a better look on things.
Things are better now, I am not so cranky anymore. Landon defiantly helps my mood. He is so funny. His dancing in front of the t.v. has got to be the cutest thing ever. What would I do without him? Okay, a lot of things, but...

A good choice
I am going to admit that I think I really did make a very good choice of walking off my job from Investment Centers in June. I got word last night and all morning that the First National Bank was bought by Associated Bank out of GreenBay. There are a lot of unhappy people working today. Not sure what is going to happen. Investment Centers may or may not stay with in the bank. I know if they do leave the bank it is going to be a huge mess. Just with benefit package alone. It will be interesting to hear the stories. I am so thankful that I left and know that I have a job. There are people at the bank right now that are uncertain of their future. It is hard to believe that Associated Bank will keep 5 branches open right in Hudson. I do believe that one or two will be shut down. I am hoping for the best for all those I know their, but I am going to be selfish and think of myself right now. I am so glad I left and do not have to deal with the stress.
I am also being selfish and glad that Luke got called back to work for the remaining part of this week and for the next two weeks. Yippee!! That is less unemployement and then he stays out of trouble. Gotta love that.

AGHHHHHHHHHHHHH
So, I was so excited to bring the New Year in healthy, but it has back fired. Once again, Landon has been down with a high fever and congestion for now what will be the 5Th day. I think having one sickly child is the best birth control around. I have been bombarded with questions of when we are going to think about child #2. I do know right now, if Landon doesn't have a healthy streak for more than 1 week, it will not happen. Four nights of only about 2 hours of sleep is enough. Thank God Luke is laid off this week. He is able to be home with him, however, going home isn't going to be fun.
I am sick of blogging about my sick child, but I guess that is what is going on day in and day out for me lately.
Hopefully this will find everyone else feeling well and not fighting the infamous VIRUS; as we are told that is all it is and it needs to run its course.
Gotta love that!

New Year's Resolution
So, it is that time of year again and we are to make some New Year's Resolutions. I have been thinking about mine for some time now and this is what I have came up with thus far...
1. Eat better
2. Not being so negitive
3. Workout plan
4. More organized
5. Be less stressed
I could list a few more, but I don't want to give myself a bigger letdown if I can't accomplish these 5. We will see how I do.
Hope everyone had a save and Happy New Year's!!!!
